Fun Adult Nature Series
FANS programs are guided trips or programs
designed to be physically active or mentally stimulating. Nearly all of these programs take adults off-site.
Older, Wiser, Livelier Seniors
OWLS programs usually meet at Hartman Reserve
Nature Center and focus on experiences that
are educational and mentally stimulating.

The FANS (Friday Adult Nature Series) has been providing unique, fun opportunities for adults for years. This year is no exception. We have a wide variety of opportunities, some for those who want to walk through our natural surroundings enjoying the bounty, others that delve into your adventurous spirit. If you have any questions please call (319) 277-2187 for details.
The OWLS program was started in late 2005 through a grant from the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa. It continues today as a self-supporting, interactive, hands on program. These programs can be adapted to those with limited mobility or other special needs.
There are currently no OWLS programs scheduled. To schedule a program for your group contact us at hartmanreserve@co.black-hawk.ia.us or (319) 277-2187.
