To register for any of the camps, please download our registration form. Return your completed form by mail or in person at Hartman Reserve Nature Center. Payment is due at time of registration. Operation Threshold's Key Card is honored for all programs, providing half off the listed price. Please call for details to use a Key Card.

Nature Tales

Nature Tales 2012 Schedule
Calling all pre-schoolers! You are invited to join the Hartman Naturalists for stories and nature activities! Nature Tales is open to the general public. If you have a group larger than four children, please call 319-277-2187 to register for the program by noon the day prior to Nature Tales. This will ensure that enough supplies are ready for the children. A freewill donation will be taken to cover supply costs, suggested at $2 per child.

All children must be accompanied by an adult during the program. Nature Tales is geared towards children ages 3-5, but younger siblings are welcome. Nature Tales is intended to be a time for both children and adults to learn about nature together.

Parents, grandparents, and caregivers are encouraged to come to the nature center early with their preschoolers to visit the Toad Abode bathtub, say hello to the salamander, or watch the snapping turtle swim. 

The themes and book of the day will be published in local newspapers and at blackhawkcountyparks.com two weeks prior to each story time.
