Nature Tales
Calling all pre-schoolers! You are invited to join the Hartman Naturalists for stories and nature activities each month!
Nature Tales Story Hour is open to the general public. If you have a group larger than four children, please call the Hartman naturalists to register for the program by noon the day prior to Nature Tales. This will ensure that enough supplies are ready for the children. A freewill donation will be taken to cover supply costs.
All children must be accompanied by an adult during the program. Nature Tales is geared towards children ages 3-5, but younger siblings are welcome. Nature Tales is intended to be a time for both children and adults to learn about nature together.
Parents, grandparents, and caregivers are encouraged to come to the nature center early with their preschoolers to visit the Toad Abode bathtub, say hello to the salamander, or watch the snapping turtle swim.
The themes and book of the day will be published in local newspapers two weeks prior to each story time. For more information aobut Nature Tales, please call Tammy Turner at Hartman Reserve Nature Center, (319) 277-2187.
