Catch your pancakes in the air with the famous flapjack flipping talents of Chris Cakes! The first weekend of March is the time to come and get a taste of spring – real maple syrup, of course. As always, Maple Syrup Festival promises to fill you up with all-you-can-eat pancakes topped with maple syrup. Breakfast also includes sausage, Starbucks coffee and Hansen's milk & dairy! Other activities include demonstration of the maple syrup process and nature art activity by the Hearst Center in the Buckles building.

Save $1 per ticket if you buy advance tickets ($8 adults and $4 children)before the event. Advance tickets are on sale February 1-March 6 and are available at the Nature Center or by calling 319-277-2187.

Proceeds from the event will be used to support our mission: “Hartman Reserve Nature Center is dedicated to understanding our environment through education, recreation and community involvement and to the stewardship of a unique natural area.”

We proudly served over 2,000 guests at the 2014 Maple Syrup Festival! If you would like additional information or are interested in sponsoring this event , please contact (319) 277-2187 or For volunteer information, please contact Katie at
