Interpretive Center
The Interpretive Center is perched on a bluff overlooking the Cedar River Valley and commands a powerful view of Hartman Reserve's natural beauty. Its tranquil atmosphere is further enhanced by a small pond and a web of trails and bridges that connect it with the rest of the forest.
Rental Space
With a crackling fire set in a rustic fireplace and an open kitchen on the far side, the Interpretive Center's east wing can accommodate up to 100 people. This makes it an ideal size for business meetings and small receptions. A smaller ampitheater may also be used. Projector screens, overheads and VCR can be made available upon request. Tableware can also be provided to discourage the use of disposable cups and plates.
If you are looking for a natural touch for your wedding or special event, Hartman Reserve's Interpretive Center is the perfect location for you. The natural rustic look of the building adds to your event, not to mention the endless photo opportunities throughout the forest.
All facilities at Hartman Reserve Nature Center are handicapped-accessible.
