The Community Health Division provides individuals of Black Hawk County with information and education to make decisions concerning their own health care. The Community Health Nurses provide health screenings, health education, and assist with referrals to appropriate health care providers.  The Communicable Disease Nurses ensure that education, testing, treatment, and follow-up care is available for all persons who are at risk for a communicable disease. The division also offers a free and confidential STD clinic.
