The Black Hawk County Health Department will be providing FREE HIV testing every Wednesday evening during the month of September, 2016 in the lobby of the Pinecrest Building for persons who meet eligibility criteria. If left untreated, HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) can lead to the disease AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome) which can be fatal. The only way to know for sure if you have HIV is to get tested.
The Wednesday evening HIV clinics are in addition to the regular Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) and HIV testing held every Thursday at the Health Department.
